Spontaneous Theater

“Long-Form Improvisation”, as it is known around the country, is a form of unwritten, spontaneous theater.

Watching a piece of improvisational theater is an active experience that often demands as much of you, the audience, as of the improvisers themselves. We do not use props, elaborate sets or even costumes. None of the scenes or characters you will see have been memorized or rehearsed.
Each improviser may play several different characters throughout the show and perhaps even multiple characters in one scene. Characters may reappear later, roles may switch, and space and time may be manipulated. Scenes may be light, funny, sad, painful, dark, or all of the above. Anything is possible!

If we ask you for a suggestion at the beginning of a piece, it may factor into the story directly; it may be used as a springboard to other ideas; or, it may simply influence the events indirectly or thematically.

We have no script, no pre-planned story lines and no words but those that come out in the moment. We have intelligent actors who trust one another, and we have you. We will discover the details right along with you.
