Jackpie Theatre Workshop

starting October 20th, 2009 at 7pm

Long-form Improv with Jim Karwisch, Artistic Director, The JaCKPpie Theatre Workshop

Cost: $200 for the 8-week session

This class covers long-form improv basics such as playwriting dialogue, the director’s eye, listening skills, and give-and-take. Solo and partnered exercises help students develop honest, fleshed-out characters and prepare them for the strange new world of Long-form Improv and Spontaneous Theatre. Often those with previous improv experience wish to skip our level 1 class as they fear that it will be remedial and cover things they have already studied. The curriculum at JaCKPie is designed to act as a masters class for experienced players and an intro class for newer improvisers.

* Each class meets once a week for three hours. Each session is eight weeks long.
