Under Construction

Opening less than a month away! (Really)

OK, we lost a few weeks in August with unexpected delays but we’re going strong again. This month we expect to wrap up our major remodeling project that started in May. The renovations include new bathrooms, a handicap access ramp, fire sprinklers, and a full bar!

Bare with us while we try to minimize the impact to production shows during the construction;
It’ll be worth the wait

Below are some highlights of the work in August; click here to read what happened in July.



Week 14

Sorry, nothing to see this week while contractors are at a stopping point. Work to resume next week.

Week 15

The A/C got turned on! How awesome to step into the lobby and be hit with cool air. It’s like we’re a theatre that cares about it’s patrons! All the bar equipment was ordered; Gobs of doors were loaded in and hung; about half of the trim molding went up. Bob’s dad (Robert Wood II) got the bathrooms painted for the plumbers to hang fixtures.





Week 16

Plumbing, plumbing, plumbing. A ton of black iron pipe was delivered for the fire sprinklers. The ceiling of the ballroom is all tore up as it gets installed. All the bathroom fixtures were delivered and will be installed by week-end. And we started building the actual bar. We also saw almost all the trim work completed this week. Next week we’ll get a coat of paint on the walls.



Week 17

Plumbing, plumbing, plumbing. A ton of black iron pipe is installed for over 170 fire sprinklers. The ceiling of the ballroom is all tore up as it gets installed. All the bathroom fixtures are installed and working. And we continued building the actual bar. Still no paint — soon though.
