Coup de Theatre Atlanta

coup de théâtre:

1. a sudden sensational turn in a play; also: a sudden dramatic effect or turn of events

2. a theatrical success

Coup de Theatre Atlanta is a completely non-profit community theatre. The entire hard-working staff is made up of dedicated thespians who volunteer their sweat, blood, and tears in order to bring the city of Atlanta back to theatre. We produce shows that contain interesting and innovative ideas that push the audience, focusing on contemporary works with adult humor and wit. We believe that small casts, small stages, and small sets allow the performance and the talent to shine through in a big way. Whether it is a comedy, a tragedyor a romance, we believe in the message in each authors work and it is our job to relay it to you, our audience.

Our Mission

To explore and discover quality contemporary theatre, to make the expected become unexpected, to give the original a place to thrive.
